09/07/2018 – 15/07/2018

Hi, everyone.

This last week I completed all the proof edits of The Goblin and a Wizard Search and I put the eBook up for pre-order at Amazon. This is what it looks like.

The Goblin and a Wizard Search 6 x 9

I also completed a paper edit of Hunter Vampire 6 (but not typed up) and started a paper edit of the fourth Forest book.

This coming week will be a little disrupted workwise, but I hope to get the paper edit finished and both of the paper edits typed up. If I have any more time afterwards, I’ll decide then what I need to do next. Both edits will need to sit for a week, so it’ll probably be admin that comes next.

This week I completed the following books:

  1. Gutted: Beautiful Horror Stories by various authors
  2. Ticker by Lisa Mantchev
  3. The Cure for Dreaming by Cat Winters

Hope to see you again soon.

02/07/2018 – 08/07/2018

Hi, everyone.

Last week was pretty productive. I now have a proper first draft of the Forest Book 4 and I have a first draft of all the graphics. Not only that, but I completed another edit of Hunter Vampire 6. Phew! Both are printed out for paper edits next.

In the coming week, I’ll be looking at the proof copy of The Goblin and a Wizard Search and doing more edits, if there is time, so that I can get to the stage of putting the eBook up for pre-order, for release in September.

This week I finished the following books:

  • Six Days by Philip Webb (audio)
  • Dogs of War by Adrian Tchaikovsky
  • A Wild Swan and Other Tales by Michael Cunningham (audio)

See you next time.

18/06/2018 – 01/07/2018

Hi, everyone.

It looks like I forgot to post anything last week Oops! Never mind.

Anyway, where am I? Well, I finished the edits on Wizard Search and ordered the proof copy, which has already arrived. I also started working on Book Four. I have been all the way through the story, but only halfway through making it into a proper first draft.

I also launched some extra children’s activity pages on my website, all related to Tales from the Forest of the Hooting Owl. Click here to take a look. There are book discussion questions, colouring sheets, writing ideas and more.

In the coming week, I’ll continue to get a proper first draft of Book Four completed and I’m going to try to get the basic illustrations done, as well. That might not be quite completed by week end, as Friday I have something else going on, but I’m going to make a good go at it.

These past two weeks, I completed the following books:

  • A Boy Called Hope by Lara Williamson
  • Moondial by Helen Creswell
  • The Little Red Chairs by Edna O’Brien (audio)
  • The Brethren by John Grisham
  • English Fairy Tales & Legends by Rosalind Kerven
  • How to Stop Time by Matt Haig (audio)
  • A Spy’s Guide to Thinking by John Braddock

See you all next week, if I remember.

11/06/2018 – 17/06/2018

Hi, everyone.

Last week, I did as I had planned. I completed a read through of Forest three and a Kindle read of it. I also announced the title. So, I can now tell you it’s called The Goblin and a Wizard Search. I also did some more work on the website, but that’s not quite finished yet.

In the coming week I’ll be doing more edits on Wizard Search and I need to decide on a cover for the book. I’m not sure if I’ll get to the stage of ordering a proof copy this week. That will probably be for the week after. I’ll also try to complete the website work.

Last week, I completed the following books:

  • Boom! by Mark Haddon
  • This Savage Song by V E Schwab
  • Our Dark Duet by V E Schwab
  • The Woman Who Went to Bed for a Year by Sue Townsend (audio)

Hope to see you again next week.

04/06/2018 – 10/06/2018

Hi, everyone.

So, last week I sorted all the graphics for Forest three and I had time to start a read aloud, which I managed to get about halfway through.

In the coming week, I’ll complete that read aloud and, hopefully, do at least one more read on my old Kindle.

I’ve also been working on some things for my website, which I’ll be working on this coming week, as well.

This week I completed the following books:

  • The Restaurant at the End of the Universe by Douglas Adams
  • Life, the Universe and Everything by Douglas Adams
  • So Long, and Thanks for all the Fish by Douglas Adams
  • Mostly Harmless by Douglas Adams
  • Memento Mori by Muriel Spark (audio)

See you soon.

28/05/2018 – 03/06/2018

Hi, everyone.

Oops! Forgot to write this post last night. Too much else on my mind.

Well, last week, let me see. I did another edit of the third Forest book and I started working on the graphics to get them book-ready, that part still isn’t finished, but I hope to complete that this coming week. If I do, I might do another edit of the HV book, or of this book. Not sure.

The other thing that happened last week was the launch of The Goblin and the Child Witch on Friday. If you’d like to check it out, why not pop over to my website for all the details? www.julietboyd.com

Last week I completed the following books:

  • The Missing by C L Taylor (audio)

21/05/2018 – 27/05/2018

Hi, everyone.

Well, as expected, this past week was all about getting Child Witch finalised and uploaded. Nothing else was done, apart from creating some promo materials.

In this coming week, which will be short as I won’t be writing on Friday, I intend to get back to the third Forest book. If I can do another edit and get all the graphics into it, it will have been a productive week.

This past week, I finished the following books:

  • The Clairvoyants by Karen Brown (audio)
  • The Keeper of Lost Things by Ruth Hogan (audio)
  • Heralding by Faith Rivens
  • A Case of Exploding Mangoes by Mohammed Hanif (audio)

Hope to see you again, soon.
